is there anyway of saying "Maundy Thursday" or "Palm Sunday" or other named days, or do I need to work out the date for each year?
PBB?
Just typing in Palm Sunday gives a result in Revised Common Lectionary (RCL). Typing in Maundy Thursday causes the display to go to Holy Thursday.
for all practical purposes you need to work out the date. All Logos-supplied lectionaries work on the Year-Month-Day datatype (running out by the end of this church year in November, so I do hope they are already working on updating all those books for the next ten years or so) and this is required to have a lectionary show on the homepage. You could do with a denomination calendar datatype to build it (such as RCL), but it will then only be fully functional when linked to a standard lectionary (there are some lectionary commentaries built that way).

Mike, I read the post as wanting to build a lectionary, not searching for a liturgical day name.
Thx, am looking at custom created resource - so was wondering if it had been metatagged
