Finding a phrase in the bible
I am very frustrated with LOGOS at this point. I have spent hundreds of dollars and I do not know how to do a simple search and end up going to google.
Can someone please help me with this problem?
I have a phrase from the bible that I know, but forget the reference. Such as "not by works of righteousness..." How do I find the bible reference for this phrase?

Welcome to the forums. Logos has some very powerful search capabilities. Some searches can be very complex. For the particular search in your post, it is fairly simple.
The red arrow is a reminder to insure you have Bible search selected. Then type in the word or phrase you are looking for. Please note that if you put anything in quotes, Logos will only return results that fit the exact phrase. As you can see in my screenshot, there are zero results in the ESV for that phrase, because it does not appear in the exact way quoted. The AV is the only English bible that has that exact wording. Fortunately, Logos has Fuzzy searching. As you can see in the screen shot, there is one result returned.
I would recommend reviewing the Quickstart videos in your library. Additionally, the Help file that comes with Logos is very helpful. You can also review the Logos Pro videos here https://www.logos.com/logos-pro Many of those are for L7, but will likely still apply to L8.
You can also get more information on searching, and almost any topic you are interested in on the Logos Wiki page. Here is a link https://wiki.logos.com/
