Passage Analysis - Word Tree
Logos 8 keeps crashing whenever I try to put in a passage. I was attempting to use the Passage Analysis tool, specifically the Word Tree. I put in Matthew 5 and Logos crashes. Every time. 5 times in a row. Am I using the tool wrong? It is something that I just discovered & have never actually used it before.

Not sure if that's possible. What bible are you using for this? Could you upload log files (see http://wiki.logos.com/diagnostic_logging for more details)?Martin Hall said:Am I using the tool wrong?
This works for me in several bibles (all I tested), and even when I deliberately try to use an OT-only bible for Matthew or switch the reference to an OT book when in an NT-only bible, it will just switch over to my highest prioritized NIV.
Have joy in the Lord!

I will upload my logs when I get home (at work now). I was using the NASB95 when I was experiencing the crashes.
***Update***
Here is my logs:

I have no idea how to read these things....

I went ahead & reindexed my library, tried again, still a crash. I deleted the program, then reinstalled, tried again, another crash. I've got nothing at this point.

I did look at your logs but there were a couple of errors that I didn't understand
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank You, MJ. Maybe someone from Faithlife could chime in and let me know what they see. Or at least if anyone else has had a similar experience. I have tried 6 ways to Sunday trying to get around the problem. Re-installing multiple times, changing resources, changing addresses nothing seems to work. Crash, every time. I find it kind of frustrating.

Here is my logs:
The main logos.log didn't show you accessing Passage Analysis or the NASB95. Ensure logging is enabled, then start logos and go through the steps that caused the problem. Then upload the logs before you restart Logos.

Good. Contact Customer Service if Faithlife do not respond here, because it is not a simple issue to resolve.

Gotcha, I'll give them another day to peruse the forums & then give them a call. Thank you.

Martin,
Can you tell me what settings you had and word in the passage you were clicked on?

I had the book of Matthew as the passage and "kingdom" as the word.

Philana, after your post, things seemed to be running along swimmingly. Then all of a sudden today, I tried to use the Passage Analysis tool again & all I go was crashes. I have no idea what changed between yesterday & today. Here are my logs from today's activity.
