Finding Highlights in Logos 7 is not working for Logos 8.

Hello,

When I ran Logos 7, I was able to do a search for stuff that I highlighted with a specific highligher pen. I could do this by writing Highlight plus the highlight name within curly brackets, and it worked great.

Ever since Logos 8, I haven't been able to do this anymore. I'd really like to be able to display all of my highlights, as I categorize things all the time using the highlighter method. Is there a new way to do this?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It works in v8.2 in Windows.

Is that a highlight you made in L8 or L7?  Highlight some text and see if that can be found.

It works in 8.3 Beta 2 on my Macbook. It also works on my Windows Desktop.

As others confirmed, this works in Logos 8 (I'm running 8.3 Beta 2 currently)

and the same with Everything search:

(I see we both have the spurious results in FL Sermons)

Is it possible that you have custom highlight or palette named Jesus or Jesus Christ, so the search gets confused? We are using an abbreviated syntax here, normally the Highlight search will as for Palette/Highlighter as argument - which throws off Logos here, since someone used a slash in the name of the palette - can you try searching for {Highlight */Jesus Christ}  ?

Have joy in the Lord! Smile

This was not functioning in Logos 8.0 or 8.1, but it returned in 8.2. Are you using Logos 8.2?

  • Thank you everyone for your help! I turns out I was running an older version of Logos 8 and I didn't realize it.

I updated Logos and found that the search feature is working once again!
