RC2: No search results, even after rebuilding the index.

Hi.
I tried a simple Bible search for "Christ" in the NIV, getting no results. I've rebuilt the index and am still having the same problem. Morphological searches are also giving no results but a Basic search (still searching the NIV for Christ) does return 569 results in 248 articles.
I'll attach the logs that I have.
Regards,
NIgel

I did a Bible search for Christ in the NIV and results were returned.
Did you upgrade directly from 4.0a to 4.0b RC2?

If it's only Bibles that aren't working, you could try the command: "rebuild bible index"

Peter: No, I ran RC1 first. Had similar problems there, but rebuilding the index fixed things in that instance.
Mark: Thanks. I didn't know about the rebuild bible index command. Perhaps I'll try it. That way I can give Melissa logs of the actual indexing, which might help further.

Here's what I get from typing "rebuild bible index". Looks very wrong to me, since I have lots of Bibles!

Sure does. It went looking for your BibleIndex, found none, so rebuilt that in about 1 second. I wish.
Do you have anything in your BibleIndex folder? What is the date and size of that file (if there is one there)?

This does look wrong. Can you zip up the following files and email them to me? (I'm "bgrainger@" Logos).
C:\Users\Nigel Cunningham\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\k0d4e00s.thj\BibleIndex\LibraryIndex.db

Sorry for the delay - I've been been fighting Vista, trying to get it to upgrade my HTC Prophet firmware

There are files there - all small though.

Those files are database files which just contain a list of your current resources, and their index status. They don't contain the index themselves.

As far as I can tell, the Bible Index has decided that none of your resources are Bibles, so there's nothing for it to do. Does entering "type:Bible" into My Library return a list of Bibles? (Including targums and fragments, you should have around 200 resources returned by that filter, I think.) An alternate way to check is to switch into details view and sort by the "Type" column, which should show a large group of Bibles.
If the steps above are showing that you have many Bibles, you can force the Bible Index to rebuild from scratch by deleting its database:
C:\Users\Nigel Cunningham\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\k0d4e00s.thj\BibleIndex\LibraryIndex.dbThe index should be rebuilt next time you start Logos 4. Please save the log; if it still doesn't build properly, the log file should show if something's going wrong when rebuilding the Bible Index DB.

OK, Nigel. It's time to come clean. What exactly have you been calling a Bible?? [;)]

Morning Bradley.
Yes, type:bible returns 206 resources.
I've delete the database and am waiting for the results of the rebuild now.

It is now indexing 207 resources.
You seem to have something funny going on with resource counts. The log said it scanned 1799 resources and is doing a Bible index from 207 resources; the user interface says I have 1741 resources and 206 of type Bible.
Thanks for your help!
Is there anything I can do to help diagnose how it got in this state?

The 1799 figure will include things like the reverse interlinear resources, Biblical People, and other items that don't appear in the Library, so it's normal for that number to be higher.
The Bible Index number is most likely to be different because of the LEB changing from LLS:LEXBIBLE to LLS:LEB during the beta. The "My Library" number is correct, and the Bible Index will reduce its resource count to 206 when it processes that resource (the initial figure is an estimate).
