i cannot find a way to log out of my IOS app?

with all the privacy issues with apps today, I am not a fan of apps working in the background and being connected 24/7 to the internet. Also my wife uses my iPad so she needs her own log in for preferences, notes and so forth.

How do I log out?

thanks for any help you may have.

    Welcome, Norman!

There is no sign-out in the mobile app (apart from deleting the app). You can of course kill the app if you're concerning about background usage (I don't think it's an issue here).

As far as your wife wanting to use the same device with a different account, you could install a couple different apps from the FaithLife mobile app suite (LogosBible, Study Bible, etc). They have slightly different features, but all of them allow you to access your library.

    Thanks for the quick response.

that is unfortunate, separate credentials is pretty basic with all apps. We have been using Olivetree for years, i Am thinking about buying a desktop package as I like the program. I only recently Began looking into it.

I just realized the desktop program has no logout option either? That is ridiculous. i Guess it is not usable without internet connection. I don’t want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on something that doesn’t live on my computer. If I don’t have it, I don’t ownit.

Thanks again for the reply. I don’t think Logos is for me.

This is not accurate. To log out you hold the Cmd/Ctrl key right after launching. Additionally, you can have multiple users using different computer user accounts.

Absolutely, it's usable. Most of its incredibly powerful features work perfectly fine (in some cases better) offline. There are a handful of features that make use of the FaithLife servers, but these are a very small minority and none of them are essential. You can use the desktop application for free (with a limited set of resources) by going to www.logos.com/basic

    Thank you Reuben,

That is good to be able to use offline. I do like the software. In fact, it has excited me more about study seeing what I can do with it. The cost is prohibitive for me to get the full experience. I would only be able to manage the "fundamental" package as I am no longer able to work.

the free version of L8 has lit a fire in me for more in depth study though. I will seriously consider changing from OliveTree to Logos.

Happily, the Catholic edition (called Verbum) of the normal Faithlife mobile app is almost identical; it's probably the best workaround.
