Differences between owning and access to Basic Feature set
When ordering the Logos Basic or Verbum Basic, you have 2 options to configure your order in regard to the Feature Set:
- I'd prefer to purchase only the Logos 8 Basic Library
- I'd like to purchase and own the Logos 8 Basic feature Upgrade (+$0.00)
The impression I get is that with option 1 (the default), I would only have access to the included Features for an indefinite period of time. With option 2, I would own the Features, even if Logos decided to withdraw access to the resources that I get with Logos Basic. The license to the resources would still be temporary but the license to the features would be permanent.
Is the best choice to select the second option to provide permanent access to the Features? The wording is confusing, because it sounds like the second option does not include the resources, so you must place the order a second time so you can own the Features.
Is there a reason why someone would not not want to own the Feature Set?

That option shouldn't be showing. It's not possible to own the basic features. You can only rent them for free. (The problem doesn't show up unless you're a Connect subscriber, so I guess it's not a huge priority for the web development team.)

You should choose the 2nd one. The first one only has the temporary library while the 2nd one has both the temporary library and the temporary feature sets.

That is what I had done. I thought I would play it safe that way.
