Sync two bibles in only one direction
My question concerns the link set function: I have two bibles open and linked, the Greek text (with several others resources linked to) and an English bible.
As I scroll through the Greek text, I want the English to follow. However, quite often I want to get a feeling for the broader context and thus scroll through the English bible, but I don't want the Greek (and all other resources) to follow. What I would need is unidirectional linking: The English follows the Greek, but not vice versa. Is this possible? Is there a workaround maybe?

I would suggest to open another Bible that is not linked so you can refer back to the larger context.

Thanks, Kenneth, but then I would frequently have to type a passage twice as I proceed with the Greek text to another chapter or book.
I was wondering if Logos could allow the "following" function for bibles? As far as I understand that's exactly what I want: Power Lookup, e.g., follows the Bible text but anything I do in Power Lookup does not go affect the Bible text.0 -
The only solution (the solution created by Logos) is to use the Multiview function in a panel, and put your greek as the lead.
For years (actually decades, more than 1) customers asked for a leader sync-link. I'm guessing they couldn't achieve any reasonable performance, ergo a panel with linked resources.
But, you can have multiple Multiviews.

A toggle on a panel to auto-delink when the panel has focus, and auto-relink when the panel loses focus would be nice, would be the same as a master/slave and less work to implement I would think. Heres hoping for something, whilst multiview is nice, you cannot assign filters, change the text size, adjust the width or even view the ToC of the secondary resource.

Although it would be done "quite often" will copy and paste in the second copy work for you until they build in the functionality you have requested?

Multi-view allows secondary Bible to be scrolled while not changing primary location (secondary resource inherits visual filter settings from primary).
Screen shot shows Lexham English Bible (LEB) in Link Set with SBL Greek NT so scrolling either one changes location in Link Set. MultiView shows LEB scrolled up without changing SBL location. Also shows MultiView with Visual Filters enabled while LEB in its own tab has Visual Filters turned off. Moved Power Lookup location next to SBL Greek NT for apparatus information.

Thank you for pointing me to the MultiView, that surely is a workaround! Although it does not work with the way I set up my windows currently [;)] But it might be something for the future.
David, of course I could do that, as in, it's not all that bad. I realize the irony that I am still finding Logos overwhelmingly packed with all kinds of configurations and at the same time miss this function, and that, and... Surely the programmers have to pick and chose from our user feedback. I guess my plea still is: If possible, extend the "follow" function to all resources.
