Default Bible Not Working Using Magnifying Glass Icon (MAC)
I started this in the Logos 7 section, and then someone encouraged me to update to the Logos 8 engine. I had been looking for it and couldn't find it. Was glad to have it. I updated and still the same issue.
I have the NIV prioritized as my default Bible. (In Logos 7, there was an option to "choose default Bible" on the Home Page ... but I do not see anything like that on the Logos 8 Home Page.)
Anywho, when I click on the search icon (magnifying glass), the NASB is the default translation. I rarely search that resource. Even when I do a search, changing it to the NIV ... and then open a new search dialog for an additional search, I get the NASB. Restarting Logos does not change anything.

After you change the selection to NIV, do you close the search panel before opening a new one?

Yes. I have closed it. Closed the app. Left it open. Closed the app. All types of ways.

I have no idea if this would be related, but is it possible that you have access to a reverse interlinear for the NASB but not the NIV?

To flog a dead horse, only because your screen shot includes an irrelevant pane, you are selecting as shown by my red arrow, right?

JT, I have access to both interlinears.

MJ, maybe I'm wrong in my assumption. But I thought that when I prioritized the NIV ... that it became my "default translation." So that when I open a search, I wouldn't have to go and select the NIV ... which I can do.
I'm not saying I'm unable to search the NIV, I'm just tired of having to "select it" every time I search when I have it prioritized as my default translation.
Did I understand your question correctly?

Also, when the search tab comes up, it does not retain the last resource searched. It is always the NASB. Maybe I'm expecting too much? If I am ... that's fine ... I just thought it would default to something other than this.

Are you clicking this?
If so, that's the expected behavior. That's a shortcut, which will always show the settings that the panel had at the time you created the shortcut.
You want to click this instead, which will open the search tool to the settings it had the last time the search panel was closed:
