Clippings - External resources
Is there any chance that the Clippings tool will ever let us clip material from sources outside our Logos library? There are so many things that I’d prefer to capture as a clipping (as opposed to a note) because of the way I use clippings. For example, if I’m working on a message, I like to keep all my quotations together and organized in a clippings document. Sometime those quotations come from articles, websites, or books that I do not have in Logos. [Frankly, in the best world, every single resource I could possibly want to refer to would be avaialbe in Logos and be part of my library!] I really would like my Logos notes and clippings files to contain 100% of my theologoy/devotions knowledge. The missing piece is being able to reference outside materials in clippings.
P.S. I may have raised this question before, but I’m not sure I got a direct response. I say that so you understand I’m not trying to pester anyone on this topic.

I don't know if FL is planning that feature anytime in the near future. One possible work-around would be to create a clipping from text in a Logos resource, then you could create hyperlinks to web pages or resources in the notes section of that clipping.

That is a good work around. That may hold me over. And a lot of these are tied to Bible references, so that’s a good hook. Thank you

We'd like to merge Clippings into the new Notes system eventually. When we do, we plan to solve the external clippings issue.

Hey Phil, sorry for being late to the discussion but are we going to be able opt out of changing the clippings to notes? And if it is going to be forced (?) it would be nice to have an exact breakdown of how this is going to work?? A concerned clippings user, thanks.
