What was installed in the update?
Folks, is it possible to know what is being installed in the update? I am a bit blind, no way of checking upfront or afterwards. It was very easy to see it in Logos 7, but have no idea how to check it with Logos 8. Thanks for the help.

What version of Logos are you on? If you upgrade to 8.3 you will find notifications of software and resource updates. The programmers have done a wonderful job with this improvement.

Which version of Logos 8 are you running? In 8.3 (shipped earlier this week) there is resource notification on the status bar

Yes, indeed. I have updated to the new Logos today and now I see what the library has been update to. Thanks! Now it looks good:-)

This screen is only active while the latest release of Logos Software is indexing. Once the indexing has been completed it becomes extremely cumbersome to figure out just what has been updated.
Step 1 look at the library and sort on date installed
Step 2 look at the application's about property to see if the main app or sub components were updated.
In version 7 (and 6 and 5) it was very easy to see ...

The notification information should remain until you specifically remove it.
Are you not seeing this?

EDIT: Removed by user - post was redundant from earlier comments in the thread.

Now that we have visibility to what was installed, could the blue icon have a different color for
1. when it is indexing
2. when there is an application pending to be installed
3. when everything is ok and the system is up to date.
We've been trained that the blue icon with a number usually means the system is busy at work and this would be a good time to do something else.
Thanks!

When indexing you should have a logos icon in the system tray

If you hover over the notification symbol when it appears, it will tell you why it is there. The problem with trying to have different colors would be when multiple notifications are present. You may have an update to the software that has been installed, indexing taking place, and a list of resources and or datasets that have been updated, all at the same time.

This morning (for the first time that I recall) I had 6 notifications at once!

I frequently have at least two. If I have six it probably means I have to hide my credit Card statement from my wife.
