An Apology to Mike Binks

I hate to post this here but I done the wrong thing publicly and feel that I should apologize publicly.
Several months ago, I posted a knee jerk reaction to Mr. Binks. I was rude, insensitive and quite an idiot. This has haunted me for a long time now.
I try to tell myself that he's probably forgotten about it and has moved on but my conscience won't let me forget about it. Not only did I do wrong to him, but I done wrong to Faithlife by disrespecting the intent of the forum rules. I should have approached the situation differently and discussed things like a Christian should.
Mr. Binks, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. I have no excuse and pray that I will not act so stupid in the future.
I'm sorry.

Do we even have a Mike Binks here?
Just kidding! Don’t worry, I’m sure in time he’ll read this and let you know he probably doesn’t even remember, but he’ll forgive you either way 👍😁👌

Rick,
Thank you for your apology and I am sorry that this has been disturbing you.
After 34 years in the Fire Service and a a few years as a volunteer minster after that I am used to getting the sharp edge of various metaphorical tongues.
I can assure you that whatever was written has long passed from my consciousness and there are no hard feelings whatsoever.
I would and do forgive you for whatever it was - in this case forgiveness is easy seeing as I have no recollection of the exchange.
However may our Lord and King grant you his peace and grace and may I thank you for the above post.

Thank you for your kindness and forgiveness Mike.
I am a career firefighter (5 more years to retirement) and I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, it can get pretty rough in the station. Anyhow, thanks again.

I am preaching Sunday on Mt 5:21-26 where Jesus say (and I paraphrase) "Pause your offering, Reconcile horizontally, resume vertical worship"
As neither the offended nor the offender in THIS thread (but I have played both roles in other threads), It does my heart good to see reconciliation and forgiveness works!

It's warms my heart to see that there is forgiveness, even for firefighters! Thirty years, now retired.

I almost feel nosy commenting on this conversation, but similar to others, this is one of the most inspiring demonstrations of Christ's grace I've read in a long time.
