8.4B2 Repeatable Crash when using Search
Running an everything search for "Pius V" OR "Regnans in Excelsis" generates a crash, very quickly, repeatedly, and consistently in Verbum--I've done it three times now. Windows 10. The program simply shuts down and leaves no trace of its existence behind. I've also tried "Pius V" OR "red hat" without a problem. I don't have the time to do any further investigation, partly because of all the time I lost from losing the layout I'd already built but not yet saved before the first still-unexplained crash.

It crashes Verbum 7.19 stable version as well for me, as an Everything or as an All text in All resources search. No crash log or entry in the error log either.

However, running the search in Logos 8.4 beta 2 does not crash for me:
So it seems we really have a difference in the codebase here!

I wasn't able to reproduce this crash in 8.4 Beta 2, but it does sound similar to https://community.logos.com/forums/t/180014.aspx (which only reproduces under specific conditions). Please test this again when 8.4 Beta 3 is released and let us know if it's still a problem.

Bradley: can you confirm that the crash fixed is from old code and not from something introduced in L8? Oherwise it might be a different issue (as this crashes Verbum 7 for me, but not L8)

The crash that will be fixed in 8.4 Beta 3 was introduced in Logos 7.13: https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_7.13#Search
It only manifests under very specific combinations of indexed resources and search terms, so it's not surprising that two users (with different libraries) can't reproduce the crash with the same query. (It is surprising that it was discovered independently twice in the same week, more than a year after it was introduced.)
It's theoretically possible that Verbum 7 crashes but Logos 8 doesn't (when searching the same (?) library for the same query) due to the specific order in which resources were added to the index.

Running beta 4, I can no longer reproduce this crash.
