Notes FAQ updated
We are continuing to make improvements to the Notes tool in Logos 8, especially where it is not integrated with Logos in all the same ways that the old note documents system was.
I've updated the Notes FAQ page with the current prioritized list of missing functionality.
https://www.logos.com/faq/notes#missing-functionality
For transparency, below are before-and-after screenshots of my edits. Note that some lower-priority items were done earlier than planned, either based on user feedback or because they were low-effort/high-value cases.

Thanks for the update. Looks like a lot of progress has been made.
Yes, thank you!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to see you're bringing back precise date/time created and modified. I'm really happy to see next/previous annotation is in beta.

Adam, I don't see this on the list, but in Logos 7 when you hovered over the note indicator you could see what notebook the note is in on the pop-up. Can this be added to the list of things you bring back to notes?
It would be nice not to have to open the note all the way to see what notebook it is in. Sometimes it helps to know what topic the note was related to when I hover over it, it's not always clear why I made a note later even though it made sense at the time.
For example, recently I came across a note that had "(see below)" at the end of the note. I'm assuming I took this note as part of a larger study within a notebook where all the notes were laid out in sequence so that I could see at a glance what was "below" in the notebook. Once I remembered what notebook it was in I could remember what I recorded "below" it without having to open the notebook and sort the notes in order. The problem is I'm not always able to remember what notebook stuff is in. It would just be really helpful to know upon hover which notebook a note is in, it gives the note more context. Maybe tags could be included in the pop-up as well (maybe up to 3 tags to prevent the view from being too cluttered).

Glad that work continues on Notes! This new feature made Logos work for me again.
I watched the Notes tutorial today (the one with the british accent), and I was unable to drag notes into a notes file like the video showed (on PC, L8). Seems like a bug to me. I found another way of changing the notes file assignment for the notes (highlights), but it wasn’t nearly as easy.
Another bug I found is that selecting a group of notes only works for small numbers of notes (about 180 or less). If you need to do a selection that requires the screen to refresh as the scroll bar is moved/refreshed, then the selection goes away.
Also, the vertical scroll bar can freak out when trying to scroll through thousands of notes. Another bug. The only way to get control back is to close the Notes tool and reopen it.

Why isn't Note Title being brought back?

Do you mean the sequence at 4:39 in https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017978372-Notes-Tool
I've just tried it and it works for me.
Please start a new thread regarding this so we can look into it with you.

Thanks updating, Adam! Will this also be updated?:

Hi Adam
Thanks for this.
The updated list shows "Include Anchors (references and resource text) in Print/Export" but I don't see this (running Logos 8.3 beta 3)
Which beta version is this included in?

Hey Graham, it is probably internal beta 4 that will drop this week. I was talking with Adam about another fix he said was in beta and he said internal beta 4.

Thanks!
To be very precise, the parentheses in no. 11 would need to read (bible reference or resource text/lemma)

I think you mean no.13, "Include Anchors in Print/Export."
We include two types of anchors in print: Reference and Text Range. We do not include other types of Anchors in print (Headword, Workflow).
Reference anchors (including Bible, lemma, and other data types) print only reference, not content that reference points to (passage, definition, etc).
Text Range anchors print the resource text, just as they preview in the note.0 -

yes, sorry.

okay - this seems to work as it should
Text Range anchors print the resource text, just as they preview in the note.
Not really. The note preview also contains (an abbreviated form of) the resource name, and in case of a bible, the location. This is very relevant information when you print the note. I think users would expect to see this, especially in the case of bible references. People would make a note by selection but still would want to know from where the selected text came from - even more so if they include multiple anchors with selected text (such as to link it to various parallel or contrasting verses, or the same verse in several editions).
That's why I suggested an (exclusive) "or" instead of "and". Users can print as anchors a bible reference or a verse text, but not a verse text including the reference.

Can the Notes FAQ be updated to reflect the changes in 8.5? I'm trying to get caught up on all the changes.
