Missing added tags in filter of notebooks, in Logos 8

After adding a new (or multiple) tag(s), in the bottom of a note:

  • I cannot find it, in the Filters, Tags list  (neither after <more> clicked)
  • putting the tag text in de search box, neither helps to find the note.

Thus I cannot use the notes tag feature.

How come?

Is this still a missing feature in Logos 8?

I never use Note Tags, but I tested this after reading your post. It seems to be working as expected. That said, I am running the most recent Beta version of the software. In this version, indexing Note Tags has been introduced. I don't know if that is preventing your tags from showing up, but I suspect it might.

If you can post a screen shot or screencast that may help to understand what you are seeing (or not seeing).

Even after clicking "more", only your top 30 most used tags will be in the list. That said, you can start typing in the sidebar find box in order to narrow things down (this searches in all facets at once).

Tags create search results in the latest beta, but not in the stable release (this will ship to stable on Apr. 15).

Kees, I believe it is very likely that you are using an outdated version of our software on your computer.  Can you please re-install Logos?

You can use these instructions.  If you are using Mac, you may get a message that the item already exists.  If so, just choose the option for "Replace".

Doing this will not delete the books that have previously been downloaded to your computer, it will simply get your software version up to date.

v8.3 doesn't Search for Note tags in Your Documents; only 8.4 beta. Tags will be found via the Filters Find box (as described above), but not in the Notes Search box (which looks for Notes content only)

    OK, I understand now:

    • de Filter Tags list, shows a maximum of 30, thus I do not see the new ones. I need to use the Find box.
    • I use latest stable release 8.3 which does not index, or search for, de tags
    • I wait for stable 8.4 in April, that will deliver the functionality.

    Thx for your replies!
