Split beta forum into bugs, questions, and suggestions ...
I would like to suggest that this forum be split into several fora: one for bug reports, one for questions, one for suggestions, and this one for all the rest (like "whoas" and "yeepees"). This would make the forum much easier to navigate. I reported two bugs over the weekend, and I don't get the impression that anyone at Logos has actually read them, let alone acknowledge them...
Perhaps even better would be a proper bug tracker that would allow me to see what's happening and when they are being fixed (ready for re-testing). I remember that for 3.0 each release candidate I kept looking for "my bugs" since I didn't get an indication when they would be fixed.
Do you think this would be worthwhile?

Our team that is monitoring this forum and submitting bugs into our bug database has also requested some organization and hierarchy, so we're in the process of rolling that out--maybe today or tomorrow.
As Bob said elsewhere, at least one Logos employee reads every post written. In most cases, multiple people are reading them. There's not always time for a response. They often will respond only if they need more info.
We greatly appreciate your help!

Yea we are doing our best to log up the bugs in an orderly fashion, however creating users for our bug database, and setting them up would take time away from logging the issues, in fact I haven't been able to test Logos4 myself in the last few days.0

I am currently splitting many of the threads into sub-forums so expect a bit a dizziness as threads you saw a moment ago make there way to new, more categorized homes. As I move threads in bulk, some may end up in locations not exactly suited to their content, so George or Phil may be doing a little recategorization later on to better reflect the thread content.
Also, now would be a good time to start trying to place new threads into one of the new sub-forums rather than the general forum which I hope to reserve for more of the stickied threads and announcements.

I guess this would explain all the nonsensical automated emails for topics I'm "following" that haven't changed [:O]

FYI the sub-forums are at the bottom of the main Logos 4 Private Beta page (http://community.logos.com/forums/67.aspx)

Can you move them to the top? You can't see them unless you scroll down. Seeing them on top will tell people where to post. I can be a bit slow on the uptake though so maybe it's just me...

There will be a few changes on the display of this forum coming once I have finished moving things around. And once we get the bulk of the topics into sub-forums it should be much easier to see the list of sub-forums.

Do I need to subscribe to each subp-forum to get email notifications or will my subscription to the main forum include all the subforums as well?
Second, Will all these threads be moved to a Beta 1 archive when Beta 2 comes out? I think this would help keep old bugs and reports out of the way from new reports.0 -

That's a great idea Joe.
On the other hand (you have five fingers)... Just logging in and marking all read, then setting the filter to hide threads I've read solves that dilemma.

Each sub-forum would have to be subscribed to individually if you were getting notifications from the main beta forum previously. This way if your beta installation installed fine, you don't have to keep filling up your inbox and watching reports on indexing issues and installation issues unless you really, really want to read those.
