It seems strange that this (see below) wouldn't be available on my desktop version of Logos 8. "Download Now" doesn't do anything. Can we get this made available on the desktop version?
Are you on a beta build of the desktop app? For clarification: This is the expected behavior under certain setting choices on the beta app.
I am, JT. What can I don't to change those settings?
Thanks in advance.
My pleasure. I don't know if I will be able to get you exactly what you need since I am not on my beta machine right now. To provide background: FL is finally allowing users to download portions of their library. This will be a great benefit to those with smaller drives and lesser needs.
I believe that you will make the change in "preferences" (Mac). It may be called something else on Windows ("settings"?). You currently have it set to not download new resources.
In the meantime, there is a new column or facet in the library (I don't remember which) so that you can filter your library. I know there is a way for you to mass download resources.
I have my preferences set to download all new resources. For some reason, this book isn't able to be downloaded. It's strange.
Please enable logging and try to download it. Then upload logs.
I got it to work. I had to hide the resource, restart, unhide the resource, and restart again. In the end it worked. Thanks again for your help.

John,
Are you saying the resource never downloaded? It can take awhile. I just want to make sure that is working of you.
"Download Now" doesn't do anything. John, Are you saying the resource never downloaded? It can take awhile. I just want to make sure that is working of you.
That's correct Philana. Nothing downloaded automatically or after hitting the button. It did download automatically after I hid and unhid the resource.
