Question About Changing Email Address and Mobile Apps
If I update my email address on my Faithlife account, am I able to sign out of these apps and sign in with my new email address, or does it require me to delete the apps and reinstall them before signing in with my new email address?

There is no mechanism to log out / log in again so you would need to delete and reinstall the apps.

It is true that there is no mechanism to log out and log back in.
But there should be no need to re-install every time that you change your email address. You should still remain signed in, there should not be a need to take any further action.

Hi Joe
I wasn’t aware of that.
Will that configuration allow you to gain access to newly purchased resources?

Since it would show my old email address though, could it cause an issue with a future sync?

After you've signed in, for security, the apps don't store your email address and password. Instead they store an encrypted authentication token that is linked to your unique account ID (which is a number, not your email address). When you open the app in the future, its this authentication token that is checked with the server, and ensures you get the right information for your account. Your email address is not sent in those sync requests - just the token.
And presumably, changing your email address doesn't reset that token.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!
