I am not sure what happened but once Logos updated to 8.4. I cannot get it to open. Help.
Hi Jeff,
I am sorry to hear that you have been having this difficulty.
Please use this article to update Windows on your computer.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Please use the option for “Update now”.
If you still have problems with Logos after getting Windows up to date, please collect your logs and either post them to this thread or email them to customerservice@faithlife.com.
This appears to be a problem with your notes. The team is looking into it.
My version of windows is current = windows 10 build 1809
I hope they figure it out quickly. I rely on Logos every day for my sermon prep and classes.
Happened to me also, every time I opened it, it would start indexing, then the program would just shut down. I tried like several times and it kept doing it. I decided to delete the program from my computer and reinstall, to awhile to re-index, etc, but now I'm working fine. It opens and stays open. Takes some time, but you as a last resort, delete the program entirely and download the whole thing. Running latest Windows 10 on an Acer computer.
Since I've updated. Logos repeatedly crashes on my pc.
I've updated windows 10 to the latest software.
I've done the repairs instead of uninstalling.
Still crashes every time.
Any help would be appreciated. Don't want to uninstall as I am overseas currently.
My Logs:
Error ID: 223Error detail: IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\David Khochay\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp6FA5.tmp' because it is being used by another process.

We need your entire log folder so we can see everything that is going on.
Please upload your entire log folder (you'll need to zip it). This allows us to know if this is the same issue.
5706.Logos.zip
Can you try rebooting your computer to see if that frees up the file. If this does not fix the issue and allow you to launch Logos please contact Customer Service, they can work with you to see if something else is going on.
Philana, since I deleted the program from my computer and reinstalled the logs prior when I was having the involuntary shut downs is gone. If it happens again I'll be sure and get and save the logs. Sorry couldn't be of more help.
I checked for log files and here is two that might help isolate the problem.
5040.LogosCrash.txtI checked
5826.LogosError.log
Jeff,
If you haven't done so already, please use Windows' Repair tool in "Programs and Features".
Please let us know what happens.
Please check the email associated with your Logos account. We've emailed you about this problem there.
Thanks Thomas.
I have the same problem. Tech support deleted Logos completely off my laptop and reinstalled it. Two days later, after all the books downloaded, it reindexes each time I open Logos. I have to leave the laptop running for hours to have the index finish. But when I open Logos again, it starts indexing all over. Any ideas?? The indexing uses a lot of resources and causes the rest of my programs to freeze up.
