I don't have access to my program at present, but I couldn't resist responding to your post as chesed is my favorite term in the OT. It is often translated as "loving kindness." You have selected the wrong headword. There is an account in Genesis where the servant of Abraham prays to the Lord God to grant him chesed on behalf of Abraham with respect to the task of finding a suitable mate for Isaac. This is the best hint I can give you at present. If no one else has chimed in, when I get home from work I will craft a better response to your question. Peace.

7th word from the top (loyalty, joint obligation, etc.). Sometimes tranliterated chesed to phonetise the sound of the first letter in Hebrew which is not equivalent to our h (more like ch in loch). It is possibly the #1 attribute of God in the OT. Interestingly, it did not have a true equivalent in Greek and so is variously translated in the NT and the concept eclipsed by the broader term "love". The NIV's translation of the term in the OT is one of its greatest weaknesses and has contributed to the fact that many Christians are not even aware of the existence of this very important term that describes God. Important word too as cognate to hasid or hasidim, important words/concept esp. in Psalms and 2nd Temple Judaism.
