Is there a way to default downloaded books to the MicroSD card in my tablet?
I have a nice new MicroSD card in my Android tablet. If possible, I would like to opt to save downloaded books on the card instead of the main memory. Is there an option to do this?

I have managed it on EMUI 9 (Huawei Android 9) by going into developer options and at the bottom, choosing 'Force allow apps on external storage', and then going into Storage and changing the 'Default location' to memory card, and then installing Logos.
This basicallly seems to install everything the the memory card though. Also the memory card is probably going to die very quick, so I think I will change it back.
If it works on Standard Android 9 or earlier I do not know. Good luck!

I agree, I think it hammers the SD cards and they die quick. Also, even though only 20GB for logos, SD card reporting 100GB+ used.
I would not really recommend this either.

I agree - these books do not generally require a lot of space, especially since I have no intention of downloading more than about a dozen books.
For now I'll stick with main memory - thanks!

I have had a check with a visual disk usage file explorer, and it seems on an SD card, every folder uses at least 512KB. Many of the Logos resources seem to have hundreds if not thousands of folders within folders within folders for the 'toc' with just a realy small toc.json as the actual file.
It seems every entry in the Table of Contents of a resources uses 512KB, so for instance the Dictionary of Latin Forms is showing as 5.76GB of space used, when the reality is the filesizes combined only comes to 360MB. Big difference!
I might see if I can reformat it into something a little more efficient, (exFAT does a 128 KB cluster size, still not great but better) and see if it works as intended. I will also see just how much actual is being written to the card, which is what kills them quicker rather than reading. Will update if something beneficial come from my investigation.
