Really Frustrated by the workflow

I upgraded to Logos 8 from Logos 6 Bronze.  I picked the starter package because I have all the resources I need  from 6 bronze.    I am totally frustrated by the workflow. I've watched videos but can't seem to get things to work like I think they did or should.   Previously I could create clipping documents or combined notebooks to create text for an article. I seemed to have completely lost that ability and the drag and drop thing I saw advertised on Logos doesn't work either.   I've created a video so you can see what I'm trying to do.  I need a better tutorial or help figuring out why everything is greyed out and I can't add items or format them like I did before....

Well,  I finally figured out how to format and add to clippings using a right click  in the biblical text, but still haven't figured out how to add notes to a clipping doc or create a plain text doc that you can use to add notes to the scriptures in a clipping so that you could create an article or sermon.

first, "clippings", "notes" & "workflows" are 3 separate features

    1. you can add a note to a clipping, but cannot add a clipping to a note.

A clipping is a quote from one of your resources. (you can't clip from a notebook) that has a place where you can add comments about that quote - see red circles.

A "Clipping Document" is a Document that contains a collection of clippings - see blue/purple circle

If you select a portion from a resource, the "add clipping" activates (see green selection)

you may also add clipping by right-click (or whatever the Apple equivalent is) on the selection

    hope this helps!!

Thanks! So the sermon workflow is for an upper level package?

    I

believe Sermon Editor is only for Bronze and above.

This is what I created (I actually create in Word then import into Sermon Editor) for last Sunday

The Sermon Editor is what I use for setting up Proclaim visuals for my sermon after using a Sermon Workflow to remind me to follow the steps in my research. I use the Workflow editor (only available in higher packages) to create the Custom Workflow that I use in sermon preparation. Here is a sample of a portion of my Custom Workflow when preparing a "Textual Sermon" (compared to a topical).

Other users' workflows that have been made available for sharing can be copied to your computer by clicking on the GUIDES tab and clicking on the link in the bottom of the pop-up panel
