How do letters come up blue on sermon document ?

Hello,

On the training videos for sermon document, the letters of passages appear to automatically turn blue and the verse is just somehow immediately enters into the slide. On my own Logos8, though, I cannot seem to get the verse to appear on the slide. My question is how do I get the letters to turn blue and get a verse into a slide without manually typing it in.

Also, how do I get a section of a commentary to go into the slide for sermon?

If you enter the reference (I.e. John 1:1) it should fill it in for you. I do find though that if I enter it in a space I have already passed (entered text below) it may not fill in. In this case the solution is to erase some of the blank space and enter the reference again. Does this make sense?
