Major Improvements Coming to Library

Hi all, 

For those of you who are on the iOS and Android betas, you may have noticed we're rolling out Library facet-filtering, which is a much-loved feature on web and desktop that allows you to slice and dice your library to find the best resource for the job. Coming soon to mobile!

I encourage you to check out the betas (for Android, visit Logos on Google Play and click "join beta", for iOS, download the Testflight app and then tap this public link)

Some other exciting features, coming very soon: 

  • Bulk/multi-select of books so that you can download or manage many books at once 
  • New UI for the library list view, which will make it easier to manage books, tell if they are downloaded or not, and more
  • Adding books from your library to specific layouts
  • New store UI

    Daniel - Is the FL mobile beta group still the place to discuss bugs, etc.? If so, can you make a means for those who beta test to 1) know about the group and 2) join it? 

    The better solution, however, would be to create a mobile beta forum. [;)]

    The new features sound great. I hope that work has also been put into improving the search functionality and offline usage as has been so often requested by users.

    I agree. This seems like the logical process. And no onewith FL  has ever said why there isn't a mobile beta forum. At least explain why so we can quit asking, if it isn't going to ever happen. LOL.

    Exciting news. I just installed the app on a new device and had to download about 200 items individually.

    Along those lines...will this scenario be fixed with the new functionality:

    I filter my library (old way, in Library search; not with new filters) to, say, devotionals, then start downloads for about 20 devotionals.

    If I change the filter criteria to, say, commentaries, and start a few downloads there, then the devotional downloads cease.

    Expected results: The older requests should also continue running in the background with the newer download requests.

    I will put this issue on the FL beta page, but wanted to ask here since the new feature may resolve the issue.

    Yeah! It would even be helpful if it didn't wipe out the library search parameters in the "Find" field.
