Library downloads

I have just downloaded my existing library to Logos8.  When I open a book there are letters missing from almost every word.  I tried to copy an example and when I pasted it to a word odc everything came out perfectly well.  My phone app also works perfectly, but I still cannot read my books on my desktop computer.

Hi John and welcome to the forums. Would you able to provide a screenshot that illustrates the issue? Your description is clear but a visual may give us clues as to what is going on.

Also does this apply to all resources in the desktop program or some but not others?

Finally can you specify if (a) you run it on Windows or Mac (version OS) and (b) which version of Logos 8 you are running please?

This sounds like a font issue that some users have come up with in the past. You might change the standard resource font to Arial, or to "L7 Standard", or any other of your liking that works.

    Thanks,

Where do I find the control for fonts?  Sorry, I really am new to all this.

In my search for the fonts, which I have not yet discovered, I found a note saying that the download of my library was only at 33% after 12 hours.  (My wifi is very slow).  This may be the reason for the missing letters, though I would have thought that books would come down one at a time as each was complete.

It seems that parts of each book appear so that there is access to every book but none of them are complete.  I'll just have to wait I suppose.

Thank you all for your help.

This should be unrelated. Logos doesn’t download resources letter by letter. [:)]

My bad, I intended to include a screenshot for you but somehow got distracted.

Go to the menu in the top right (three vertical dots, sometimes called kebab menu) and select Program Settings

Once this has loaded, scroll down to section "Text Display" and change the first option to "Arial"

    Hope this helps!
