Why no discussion about the syntax searching?
I was just curious; nobody seems to be talking about the syntax searching in V4...
How it works...do you like it? Easier? Harder?
Myself? I can't figure out how to connect things....
If anyone's played with this already, please chime in!

Robert,
I like the new layout for syntax searching better than the old. I also like the included templates for doing quick syntax searches. It's nice to have the basics covered so I don't always have to start from scratch.
My guess that part of the reason that there's no much talk at this point is that, like for morphological searches, there are bugs for searching at the lexical and morphological level. As a result, the syntax templates can't be used (at least I haven't gotten them to work), and searches can't be constructed where any words are specified. And since most of the time I'm not running syntax searches without being interested in at least one word, it makes it hard to test (since not specifying words gives way too many results to sort through).
This is a problem logos is aware of though, so I'm waiting till Beta 2 and hoping that it is testable then.

I've commented on it in the original syntax & language resource thread, I created a search, but didn't get any hits for it - the same search *does* get hits in Logos 3.
Other than that, I like the new layout and find it pretty easy to figure out. What are you stuck on?

Mike,
I think that David's other post cleared things up for me...thanks for asking.
It was the "mechanics" of how to get things situated in relation to each other...where to click, what do attach to...basically the same learning curve from V3....
