Copy with annotation in iOS

I know when I copy something while working in the desktop (Mac OS) version of Logos 8 I can paste it into Scrivener and it comes in with the text annotation (page number in the book I'm copying from). 

However, in iOS it just comes in as plain text with no annotation. Is that a limitation? Or am I doing something wrong or have I set something incorrectly?
