Crashes of Logos 8.5 Beta 3

As recommended by Philana in https://community.logos.com/forums/p/181216/1048160.aspx#1048160, here is a new thread.

I haven't been able to reliably reproduce these crashes. They happen typically during the first 5 mins of starting up Logos. However, I noticed the following:

The resources "King James Version KJV 1900" and "AV 1873 NT RI" keep being updated every few days. Here is a screenshot:

Additionally, the Library Catalogue takes typically over 3 mins to update each time I start Logos, even if no new resources have been downloaded. So this message stays for quite a while:

There is one more observation: Even though the screenshot above states that the resource KJV 1900 was updated in the last 7 days, the Library browser states that this resource was last updated Dec. 21, 2018.

I also noticed in recent weeks (since the crashing started) that I fairly frequently have one (never more than 1) resource that never stop downloading. Here is a screenshot:

They are slightly different than the one you linked in that I suggest you delete the entire resource updates folder to clear out any issuse. Can you let me know if following those instructions fixes things?

I previoulsy deleted all that was in the Resource folder but not the folder itself, i.e., I had an empty folder called "Resources".

Now, I deleted the empty folder. Still, the same screenshot as above appears: The resource "The Pentateuch" indicates that it downloads but the download never stops.

Ok, I managed to track down the name of the resource "The Pentateuch" and delete it. Logos then successfully downloaded the resource. Let's hope that the crashing also improves.

I am now on Beta 5. Over the last few days, Logos was stable. However, I just purchased some resources and there were some other updates to download. Logos crashed since then twice a few seconds or minutes after starting it up, while the downloading and indexing still happened.

No Apple crash window appears. Logos just vanishes from the screen.

It appears that the problem only occurs when there are new or updated resources or updated datasets in the process of being downloaded or being indexed.

Here is another peculiarity:

When I started Logos, updates started to download. Now I get the following conflicting information:

This seems to state that KJV 1900 was updated. BTW, this resource is often claimed as being updated. However, when I look at the updated resources in the Library browser, it does not appear:

The KJV 1900 was last updated on Dec. 21, 2018.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce it consistently. However, the crash happens most frequently when new resources or datasets are downloaded and installed. I will just keep posting logs when it happens and hope that eventually we get enough information to track it down.

If so do you happen to know what the Collection was and how you were modifying it? This might be helpful.

Can you check resource version number located in the support info (its at the bottom of the info panel in the Library or the Resource Panel). Here is what I have installed:

I haven't edited collections in the last 2 weeks. So "no", the crash did not happen during the modification of a collection.
