Menu bar for being "Linked"
Menu bar. I would like to suggest removing the "A" which is beside the actual resource which lets you know that the resource is linked. I don’t think it’s necessary to let you know that the resource is linked to “A” or “B” etc. It takes up to much space on the menu bar.
Logos 7 didn’t take up that space even though I had my resources linked.

One of several reasons I took a pass on L8. My layout would have been destroyed, and I like it.

This has been the subject of much discussion. The overall bloat in the interface leads many users to have a Program Scaling of 90% (and increase Content Scaling to 110%), but Faithlife can improve matters by eliminating the space used/reserved for the close X.

The change to have the close X be on each tab instead of only the front-most tab and on the far right of the pane was misguided, IMO. Not only is there the space issue. But it used to be easy to click on the X on the far right several times in sequence to close all of several recently opened and only temporarily needed resources. Now you have to move the mouse around to click on each one, and the positions shift around as the tabs get redistributed. I tend to use Ctrl+F4 instead of clicking on the X, because it's easier to do repeatedly. But in that case, what a waste to have all the space reserved for those Xs.

I agree that the new L8 tabs are too wide. I can't see enough of them like in L7. I hope they will make it possible to change the width of the tabs.

I wish I would have known about this before upgrading to 8! I agree with you...I had all my books where I wanted them...and now I have to do serious scrolling left and right (click, click, click, etc.) to get to them. Incredibly frustrating. Bummed to learn that apparently there is nothing to do about it.

Program scaling to 80% helps a little bit...but still some serious clicking...

And the scrolling is slower, requiring a separate click each time. Almost like we're being penalized for having too many tabs!

I agree that the design is disruptive to the way many people use the software as well as not visibly attractive. As already stated it was brought up during beta testing. However, on my Mac I can two finger swipe right and left to get through the tabs more quickly. May be helpful for those on a laptop.
