Is there an estimate for the 4.0c Beta release date?

I think we can let them get a brief coffee break. and then a few days to absorb the feedback... so shall we say "Before Easter" [:P]

Better yet, let's concentrate on Jesus until Easter, then we can go back to focusing on Logos [;)] (Disclaimer: This is humor, although it strikes a little to close to home in my own life.)

It seems that your implying that Logos should actually be considered a "means to an end" not necessarily the end itself?

But then what would I do with all my time...[;)]

Well I'm sure we would get resistance for suggesting we should turn Logos off for the rest of Lent...

[:D] "Easter" is in the KJV so must be official [:P]   "Intending after Easter to bring him forth" Acts 12.4

I guess it was a spring-time roman/pagan festival that was Christianised just like Christmas..

I just love the opportunity Easter gives us to evangelise, that it's not about the new cute little lambs running around in the fields, but the lamb of God who died on that cross for our sins, and that is not about the giving or receiving of "pace"/easter eggs but about the hope of new life they symbolise, that new life we are now able to have because of the resurected Christ.. A time of new beginnings..   New life in Christ..

I love all the symbolism around Easter [:D]

So as we wait for the next beta,  catching our breath, musing, ruminating, discoursing and digressing.. if you wanna call it resurection day, thats fine by me [:D]

Thank you Dominic!    Peace to you!  I had never noticed that before and am glad you shared.  I wonder why the KJV translated pascha as Easter???  Even Darby doesn't do that.  Can't find another translation that uses Easter there.     Do wonder why!    Glad you shared!

Calls for a footnote, eh???             *smile*

We hope to have a shorter cycle for 4.0c than 4.0b, which had larger structural changes (notes importing, etc.).

I wonder why the KJV translated pascha as Easter???

I don't know how scholarly an answer this is, or how in the world it was ever offered but:

I have been told by KJV aficionados the translators chose :"Easter": instead of passover since the target readership of the proposed translation would have no idea of Jewish religious holidays but were well acquainted with the Easter tradition. Since they were similar seasonally, the translators opted for a culturally more familiar term.

Take that with half a grain of salt. I'm thinking there is a different story somewhere closer to truth.
