Android Reader Suite 8.4.0.0131 Stable Release Notes

The Android team is pleased to announce the 8.4.0.0131 Stable release of the Faithlife Apps.

The Biblia app has been delayed but should be released in a day or two.

The apps should be available soon in the Google Play store and sometime tomorrow in the Amazon Store.

If you discover any issues please create a new post and include the following info:

Description – How were you using the app when the problem occurred?
Reproduction Steps - Clearly explain how to reproduce the issue.
App Info – Which app you are using (Bible, Biblia, Faithlife Study Bible, Verbum or Faithlife Ebooks).
Device Info – (Nexus 7, Motorola Triumph, Droid Bionic, Kindle Fire HDX).
Android Version – (5.1, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9.x).

Hmm...unless I'm still seeing the beta, there still seems to be an issue with the search bar on the Library page being too small. It doesn't seem to match the arranging that was done in the ios app: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/181117.aspx

There is still no way to create at verse hyperlink in Android. This needs to be fixed.

I have three books that could not be downloaded prior to the update, and none of them is downloading now (The Lamb and the Führer, A Parent's Guide to YouTube and EBNE Media).

Hi Jan,

You already have the Logos 8 Basic (Mobile) license. This simply means that all new users will have access to the new Notes Tools and other basic functionality for our Mobile apps.

As for your books that are not downloading, please do the following. Please make a point of connect to a Wi-Fi network for 15 minutes. Sometimes books may not download if your data is provided by your service provider's network, it is possible that certain restrictions are in place. If the books are still not downloaded after this, please send your logs:

1. Open the app.
2. Tap the Menu icon.
3. Tap Help.
4. Press "Report a Problem"

A pre-addressed email will open with a log file attached automatically. Please enter a description of the problem. When finished, press "Send" to send your report. A technician will reply as soon as possible.

Sorry, Jan, I need to correct some of what I said before. Currently, The Lamb and the Führer and A Parent's Guide to YouTube cannot be downloaded on Mobile. We are investigating this further.

It is theoretically possible to download EBNE Medis, but it includes 1,006 media files. It might be better to download these selectively, downloading all of these might take up a lot of room. I do not recommend downloading all of these at once.

I'm aware it takes a lot of space, and have enough available on one of my devices. I was planning to download it in smaller chunks of a few dozen files at a time.

However, the app crashes completely when I try to do so. Same thing on all three of my devices. I tried to submit a log before, but apparently none gets created, possibly because of the crash.
