Logos Free for (Homeschool) Families

We built a homeschool starter library and made it available for free for attendees of the homeschool conference Teach Them Diligently in Columbus, OH this weekend. It got leaked on Facebook and went viral, so we decided to open it up to everyone. :)

It was supposed to end at midnight tonight, but we'll probably leave it open through the weekend. Feel free to grab a copy for yourself and, if relevant, your spouse and your children. But if you do, please do us the favor of letting at least five other people know about it who aren't Logos users and could benefit from it.

Thanks, and enjoy!

    Hi Phil,

That seems reasonable to me and I am more than happy to pass the details on to some non-logosians. A quick question: is there any way you could provide a basic list of the resources contained in the bundle? It would be good to be able to highlight some of the key resources (especially commentaries, etc.) when talking with friends.

    Thanks in advance, Liam

Here's what I gather is in the package, more or less, from after the "update" I downloaded immediately after getting the package.

I hope they keep this open for a few more days.  I just saw the offer and downloaded it, but those who see my Facebook post may not get the opportunity to follow through if it is taken down too quickly.  I know time limits must be set, but I also want to make an honest effort to follow through on the request to forward the offer. I will trust the process - I made an honest effort to honor Faithlife's request.

    Blessings,

Amazing resources for free, thanks, I have passed it on as requested.

Thank you very much. A note to fellow users: although it has a good number of resources useful for all, it is also designed for American families. For instance, it includes the American Declaration of Independence and other resources on America.

I think the guys at Faithlife are very generous with this offer. My kids are grown up - but what a great blessing for homes school families!

    Keep well  Paul

I am glad to see a homeschool package has begun.  Two of my boys use Logos on a regular basis.  I hope this opens up a market for homeschooling families.  Another place where this can be marketed is to the BIblebee.org community which is filled with homeschoolers.  The forum has almost 3000 members, most of whom are children. I will let the group know about this package.

Thanks for your generous offer. What a great way to introduce know people to Logos. I don't know many people who home school but I've passed it on to those I do know and if I think of others I will do the same.

Thank you so much! It’d be nice if we had a list of the content not just an overview 👍😁👌

    I'm telling this around.  Nice!

    Much appreciated so thanks

Thanks Phil. I added it to my library and have two other non-logos owners signing up.

This is really generous of you.  I do not often share on Facebook, but this is the best excuse I can think of.  I really hope this grabs a few people from my church.  We have a bit of a reputation for being afraid of technology...

+1 [Y] Thanks [:D] so talked with my Pastor today about him creating an account for each of his five children. Also shared this generous offer information with a few more people.

    Keep Smiling [:)]

Hi, We are homeschoolers in the UK and would love to share this with friends- but it looks like it just closed. any way you could open it up again for a few days?

It is something I would recommend to Logos.  I believe there is a market with homeschoolers.  If Logos agrees, I am sure this will be made available again at certain times in the year.  I had mentioned that there are 2600 children involved in the National Bible Bee.  These are children seriously studying God's Word.  They study hebrew, greek, memorize verses, do cross referencing, study books of the Bible, learn to use Strong's concordance etc.  If Logos tapped into this group who are mainly homeschoolers, there would be the potential of lifelong logos customers.  I posted the notice to the Bible bee forum, but only on June 2 in the afternoon which was not enough time for the majority to take advantage of the offer.

Still, the offer is a positive sign that Logos will hopefully see the potential for new customers by marketing to those that homeschool.  My son used a mobile ed course to learn Greek this year.  There is so much potential.  But I also think Logos could develop some kind of check to be sure that such offers go to homeschoolers only and not to those just looking to take advantage of free offers.  This offer was clearly intended originally for a specific target, not for everyone.

Any Chance this can get extended? I was out of the office until today. I Home School and would love to pass this to our Home School group.

    Thanks!

    Hey Son!

It would be nice if FL extended the offer though I think the chances are slim as they already extended the original offer and widened the target audience.

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

Thanks, Faithlife.  I saw this with 15 minutes to go and was able to get my homeschooling daughter signed up.

Here is another vote for an extension.  I have contacted the education manager for a missions group we work with in Orlando.  If the offer can be extended, she may be able to contact their missionaries in the field arpind the world who are homeschooling in order for them to sign up.

Here, in Phoenix, we are beginning tutoring sessions tomorrow morning with a homeschooling family based in Turkey.  But I didn't see the thread in time to give them a heads up.

I wish I'd seen this earlier! I know a few homeschooling families who would've been interested. That said, I'm glad that FL built this package and I hope that more homeschooler-targeted material will appear. (Also, Verbum version, please!)

I'm sorry some of you missed out on this. We may consider doing something like this again in the future. If you'd like to stay in the loop on future offers relevant to homeschooling families, consider joining the new Homeschool Families Faithlife group.

    I'm in!  Thanks! [Y]

    Phil,

As noted by Jan, above, Faithlife has created a products page for the Homeschool Bundle.  However, I am not seeing a price.  Does this page just serve as a placeholder for the bundle or will it be available for purchase?

    David

I thought there was one yesterday ($199 I think), but I'm not seeing it now.

This thread got linked to a current discussion and I just have to say, as a homeschool family (recently imported from Wordsearch), I certainly hope this comes back around in the future

I totally missed this yesterday.  I hope this is brought back again sometime.  That was a great starter bundle.
