Notes definitely needs a back button for mistakes like deletes

Are you talking about the mobile app (Cmd+Z works on desktop)?

That is interesting as just last week I tried this automatically after pasting over some text accidentally, and it did not work, so I just assumed was not implemented. Perhaps I had accidentally also clicked out of the panel or something.

BTW, "shake to undo" also works in Notes on iOS!
An undo button would be nice and save myself lot's work.

I did not actually see there was a trash can which is very helpful if whole notes have been deleted. But, when part of one, or anchors are accidentally deleted I have not found a way to get them back.
CTRL/Z does not work on my win10 system
I just did control z in my notes document and it worked, right on, thanks for the advice.
