Wonder if anyone else has had the experience of attempting to open an imported notes file, only to have L4b crash and have to be closed. This is with a new Windows 7 machine with plenty of RAM.
May not be the same issue but, yes, L4 is crashing. I got notes/favorites imported last evening and have been working with how/if hyperlinks in my notes imported or notes added actually works, and in the process L4 has crashed several times . . . sorry I can't diagnose the cause, but, I share your concern . . .

me too.. I had a notes system from L3 I want to keep and that I have been trying to cut and paste new notes I've made from L4 into
Lots of crashes...
Thought it was my computer but it seems maybe not :-/

Could you enable logging, reproduce the crash, and attach logs to this thread? Instructions can be found here: http://www.logos.com/L4/Support/DiagnosticLogging. Thanks.
This is a Windows 7 64-bit laptop with 6 G RAM P7350 2.00mhz
The imported files were "fixed" using the downloaded tool before importing into L4b.

The attached log file doesn't contain any crash (exception) data. Perhaps we can try once more. Make sure the program is closed and don't restart it before getting the new log file and attaching it here. Thanks.
Here is the second try on the log file.
Also tried opening the notes file on a different computer (XP) and the result was the same. The note will appear in a preview box when the mouse is placed over the note indicator box in a verse, but if you try to open it either from that place or from File/Open, L4b crashes and must be closed using Ctrl+Alt+Del. I'm left with little choice but to delete the imported notes and wait until Logos really provides the means to use them.
I tried to reproduce your problem but it works fine. I can open the verse from the note and the note from the verse. I use Windows XP SP3, 3.20 GHz, 2.00 Gb of RAM, 149 Gb for the hard disk of which 86.5 Gb is free.
Also, my indexing for 4.0b went in two stages: 19 minutes of indexing; 4.79 Mb of further download and then another 38 minutes of indexing.
I imported 3 Note files from Libronix note files without downloading the Libronix Import Bar (I had uninstalled Libronix before I first installed Logos 4) plus I had started 4 Note files in Logos 4 before the import.
Hmm. Wondering if the Logos team knows if the size of a note file is a problem. The imported note file I'm having a problem with is rather sizeable. It worked OK in L3, but it crashes L4b on all the machines I have. This file was made available from someone else. If anyone wants to test it, there are a couple of such files available from www.deanbible.org. Should be available on their front page.
Having the idea to delete the imported Notes files from L4b, then re-import them, I was able to open them using File/Open in New Tab. One of these files is 28 MB and it took several minutes to open, but it did finally open. Mysterious!
Just downloaded both and they imported.. no crash, but causing a lot of lag, will investigate but 28mb for a notefile is obesely huge...
We have identified some performance issues with the surprisingly large notes/note file. A small fix (with significant performance gains) will be released with an upcoming service release.
Larger scale changes with additional performance benefit have been slated for a future 4.0c beta release.
I have SR-1 which I thought would fix the problem, but my notes still crashes the program. I have sent the log to support.
