Hi Philana,
Would it be possible for the Verbum Blog to be added as an available option on the Logos homepage? Can you guys slide that into the Logos 8.6 update somewhere?

Kiyah,
Verbum is its own separate brand, you could run the command "Set Verbum to yes" and it would show up, but it would also make other Verbum settings active.

"Making other Verbum settings active" is what I want to avoid. I want to access the Verbum blog from the Logos home page.

Unfortunately there is not a way to do that.
Why don't you just add a URL of the blog to your toolbar if you want to frequent it? It's a workaround, but at least you can do it when you want..

As a more ecumenically minded Christian, I find the "firewall" that exists between Verbum and Logos frustrating. I have a Verbum 7 installation on my machine, and I can see the Logos Blog in Verbum, so I don't see why it would be difficult for Logos to simply add the Verbum Blog to the list of options in Logos. You can set it do default as de-selected and then the users who want to see it can select it and others probably wouldn't even notice it's there.

I vow to add a 'me too' post every time this statement or one like it is made.

Maybe there is enough users out there for Faithlife to come out with the Ecumenical version?
I think the line has been drawn. Faithlife don't want to encourage a Verbum environment in Logos ("ecumenical" presumably implies working with an extended Canon and the Saints?), but you can have base packages from different denominations, and even join Verbum Now!

Thankfully 'drawn lines' have a history of being erased. :-)
Actually I don't want to be generally working with an extended 'Canon and the Saints' but I would rather be able to switch these things on and off at the flick of a switch* rather than a reload of another programme and another set of resources.
* for 'flick of a switch' read 'tick of a box (or two).

But....I just want to see articles from the Verbum blog on my homepage. I'm not asking Faithlife to achieve world peace or reverse the great schism.
For me, from my perspective, ecumenical simply means that I'm a student of the whole Christian tradition. I just want to see the Verbum blog in my Explore section on the homepage. I've already purchased a Verbum (and Orthodox) base package. I've already rigged my guides to bring in some of the stuff Verbum displays by default.
I just want quick integrated access to the Verbum blog is all, and without having to turn on "set Verbum to yes." I prefer the Logos view and settings, with some of the benefits of Verbum mixed in. I don't want to have to go full Verbum. But with Faithlife it seems to be all or nothing when it comes to Verbum.

I would LOVE this and I'd be the first one to buy it (if I had the money lol).
Exactly!!!
Plus, I want the "Learn more about it" link on the resource information panel to point to Logos.com instead of Verbum.com since Logos.com is a more robust website. So "Set Verbum to Yes" just won't do.
But with Faithlife it seems to be all or nothing when it comes to Verbum.
Kiyah, I appreciate your desire to take holistic view of Church tradition.
However, Verbum is an intentionally distinct brand with a different audience than Logos. Even the "Set Verbum to Yes" command is somewhat outdated (and subject to deprecation), since it was implemented before we had a dedicated Verbum application. It's on purpose that the Verbum blog doesn't appear on the Logos home page, and we have no plans to change that at this time.
The command to switch to Verbum should be"Cross the Tiber"

I personally would not want the command to be deprecated.
