I often find Boice the most useful primer to my sermon preparations when he has a sermon on the passage I'm looking at. At $99 you can't go wrong. I think it may have been as low as $75 before.

It's one of the most pastoral commentaries with good practical insights. One of my first go-to commentaries when I prepare to preach. I wish he had covered more books of the Bible.
