Turn off the popups about resources

Does anyone know of a way to turn off the pop ups when your mouse grazes over the name of a book in the library? They are quite large and cover up several lines of print and all they are are promos for the books. It's an advertisement for a book that is already in my library. It also happens with books I have opened and have in my basic layout. If I'm sliding my cursor along the line of books to get to a new one, all of them on the way will try to open up and tell me all about the book.

There might be some distant use for this "feature," but for me it has always been a nuisance. They get in the way, and I find myself racing my cursor off to the side of the screen and then sneaking up on the book I want from the bottom or side to keep from setting off the pop up and having it block the names of the books I'm searching for.

Can someone help me? Is there a button somewhere that turns this off that I just haven't found yet?

If you have the library's information panel, then the popup will not appear.

Tell me more. I don't see anything on my screen that looks like an "i" with a circle around it. What is the "library's information panel"? It looks like from your screenshot that it should be somewhere between the search bar and the help settings (three dots). I don't have anything like that.

Open the library panel and look at the top of that panel.

It's this kind of annoying nonsense that irks me most about Wordsearch selling out to Logos. Logos is way more complex with a higher learning curve, and it isn't worth the effort (so I continue to use Wordsearch).

You can open the info box and someone suggested, but then you have another panel possibly in the way. Another option is to change the resource display mode to "cover." You can drag the cursor down between the cover thumbnails without the popups.

Yes, Logos is much more sophisticated and powerful than Wordsearch which means there is much more to learn. However, it sounds as if you don't want or need the additional features. Your Wordsearch will eventually not run unless you manage to keep machines with old operating systems running. So, your choice is to (a) lose your Wordsearch resources by switch to an unrelated product or (b) learn to use just the parts of Logos you need while you can revert to Wordsearch when you need information "now". If you decide to take the latter route, keep asking questions on the forums. Others have been stuck in the same situation as you.

But look on the bright side ... Logos keeps your brain sharp as a tack, as you battle the 'double-down' church-supporting interface.

Why, just this morning, on this very topic, I was battling away. I needed more library columns in view (forget the info-panel; unadjustable), and the resource popup was popping away. I notice they removed the title expansion popup, in favor of the massive popup ... they are indeed proud of that popup.

And 2-finger scrolling (Mac version) demanded popup heaven, until I discovered you could put your mouse pointer over the column headings where the popups went to sleep. Whew!!

I can not fathom the Logos software designer's brain. Does he really, really like that popup so much? He's got it all over the place (minus when the resource was written, of course). Can't say he hasn't repeatedly devoted precious update resources to that popup ... repeatedly.
