The only way to get results for "master's" in the sidebar find box is to include 2 or more apostrophes.
Also, I don't show it in the screenshots, but "master'" works but "masters" doesn't.
"master's" seems to work
Graham, does it work for you in the sidebar find box?
No it doesn't
Sorry - I missed that detail[:$]
So... apparently certain facets work but other's don't:
Bump
I've created a bug report.
Thanks!
Bump. This no longer returns results with multiple apostrophes, but still doesn't work with one either (even worse now that my "workaround" doesn't work!).
Reuben, I've brought it to the team's attention again.
Reuben, it's not the facets that are different; it's the punctuation itself. Or should I say, it’s.
The difference is, you are (naturally) typing a straight quote ( ' ), but the Series or Publisher metadata uses a curly quote ( ’ ). The Find resources box of the Library is smart enough to equate the two, but we haven't built that logic into the filter box (yet).
Workaround: In the meantime, you can type a curly quote directly on your Mac keyboard.
Opt+Shift+] = ’
Thanks for the explanation, Adam! Doesn't seem like it would be a difficult fix, but I do think there are higher priority items (like the facets remembering their expansion state!).
