Updated Logos.com Website!

Big news! We’ve released a major update to our Logos.com website today. You’ll find a mobile-friendly shopping experience, updated product page layout, new search features, and other improvements.

We’ve also separated the Spanish website onto its own URL, es.logos.com.

Our goal was to simplify the shopping experience for the average user and make Logos.com easy to navigate on any device. This also moves us toward the goal of having all of our stores running on the same commerce platform, which will provide a consistent shopping experience across our sites and make it easier and faster for us to add new features moving forward.

Since the forum includes many of our advanced users, you may find the occasional advanced feature that looks slightly different or wasn’t included (yet). We’ll continue making improvements and updates to the website and welcome your feedback and input. The official and most reliable channel for feedback is through this survey (you can submit it once per day), but you’re welcome to reply here as well with questions or comments.

To celebrate the new site, we are offering 30% off your first order. See this page for the eligible products and coupon code.

We’re excited to have you explore this new website and hope it improves your experience on Logos.com!

Your percentage sort by "Savings" is still way off. It's not following the right numerical order.

Also, can you make a check box for something to be excluded in the search result...say for an example... to exclude all the Mobile Ed stuffs in the result? I don't want to see them all the time in my results and neither I'm interested in them.

    Thank you.

Your percentage sort by "Savings" is still way off. It's not following the right numerical order.

This is because the site sorts by the published discount, but then displays your dynamic pricing discount. The sort order is therefore correct.

Adding all items from a wishlist to the cart with one click is great.

Having to remove them one by one again is not so great.

First impression: The "Price/Add to Cart" box is MASSIVE, it's WAY TO BIG and is taking up too much space on the screen. Consider making it about 40% smaller so that you can fit more actual info about the product on the screen.

Also, you've moved the info about what collections the product is in all the way to the bottom of the page, even below all the comments, which is extremely inconvenient. Consider putting it closer to the product description, above the comments. The first thing I typically want to know about a product is whether or not it is in any collections.

Finally, the collections that the product is contained in don't seem to be listed in any logical order. Please list the collections in ascending order of price the way you used to.

I miss this (under the price)!

I was looking at a product page today to see if it was contained in any collection. It happened to have a lot of reviews (which reminded me of this post).

If that section can't be moved above the reviews (which would be preferable), how about adding a "This title is included in X collections" hyperlink at the top of the page, so we can quickly navigate to that section?

(If it's too difficult to display the exact count, just generalize the hyperlink to say "... in other collections.")

    Thanks for considering this!

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I agree heartily with each of these points, but this isn't even the beginning of problems.

EVERYTHING under my picture, things like order history, pre-pubs, community pricing, wish lists: ALL are horrendous space hogs, yet don't convey any useful information at all. I want to see thumbnails and more importantly, i want to see authors names. And Why does it eat up SO MUCH SPACE? I have to scroll forever to see my stuff. To say you've made the experience worse isn't enough. You've made it almost unusable.

Just to be fair and not completely negative, i do like having the wish lists tiled so i can get to whichever one i want to see without having to scroll through all my wish lists. This is an improvement.

For the resources that I’ve looked at so far, the “Tradition” description has been removed from the product pages. I’m going to miss that. Also, I’ve noticed that a lot of resources don’t list the resource type, such as “Monograph“ or “Commentary”. I hope they get updated and the descriptions return.

Can you share an example of what you mean here? I'd like to look into this further. We strived for a feature-parity move, though we know there may be some features that have been implemented on the new site in different ways.

There's no authors listed for the books in the following bundle unless one hovers over the titles. I'm not sure if all the collections and bundles are like that, but other collections and bundles I've looked at also omit the authors.

There's no authors listed for the books in the following bundle unless one hovers over the titles.

This is what the "old site" looked like for this same bundle:

You also had to hover over the title in order to see the author. Is this what you're referring to, or something else?

Another suggestion: Move the "Ownership Status" search filter box to the top of the list. That's a great option, but you have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the very long list of search filters to get to it.

The order history page has a HUGE step backwards. It used to be, if we wanted to see when we purchased a specific resource or it’s price, we could type the name of the resource into a search box and it would find the order information for us. That search box is gone. Now, we have to manually scroll through years of purchases to find the order information of the resource in question.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the feedback. I know the Order History page is a big change from what you're used to. We added the "Export to CSV" feature in hopes it would add ease for you to see orders in a spreadsheet format. You can also click the "Show All" button and use the CTRL+F function to search the page for a particular order.

I think it gets mixed up between the advert-show, and the search. In any event, you can't see what you're typing after the first word.

    Thanks.

    Aaargh!

The MOST annoying feature for me is still on the new website. Why is the limit of products shown in a search still the very measly and tiny 60 per page? Please, please add a show ALL results. (or better still, like most modern sites, have a dynamically refreshing list as I scroll down!!)

Also please store the number selected in a cookie or similar, so it's not 3 page refreshes each and every time I search for products! Thanks.

PS Does this website sort out the international pricing issue that will finally publishers to allow users to purchase items that were previously 'unavailable for purchase in your country'?

Woo hoo!!  You can search on Logos.com again!! (beyond one visible word).

Now, for the fake 80% off claims. That seems so naive, thinking customers are that naive.

It's our bestselling title. I'm not sure what the relevance sort order is doing. It looks like a slight variation on bestselling. I don't think it's showing up first for any other sort orders. It depends on what filters are applied, I suppose. We're not artificially promoting it.

Thanks Phil. Can you be more explicit on the end date? You've had so many great sales recently I've been spending more than budgeted. I'd love to pick up some more books but need to delay until July 14th. I'm sure a known end date creates a flurry of orders for Faithlife - in a positive way.

The coupon code doesn't seem to be working on items that are on sale already (30%+)...?

The seems to be an error with the way that existing URLS are handled WRT private browsing.

    A URL such as https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=&unlocked=no&Specials=On+Sale&Status=Live&pageSize=60&sort=savings&Language=English

When viewed In a private browser gives this intrusive error:

The expected behaviour is what the old site did. Show all the resources, ignoring the unlocked parameter. Should I wish to purchase, then I will log in. More oiften I want to browse ... rather than be excluded from the site altogether

Please respect those of us who use private browsing by default ...

    Thanks.

Just curious ... what is the purpose behind this design? Are there different resources excluded from each site? It does not seem to alter the phone details next to them ... still a US number and something called PDT.

Is there a real purpose to this option, is there different URL rather then this garish flag waving click fest that we can use?

The current behaviour of the button seems non-sensical ... changing it takes takes you to a slow, graphic laden advert ... not sure why I should be taken anywhere ... no other site that I can think of would change a language setting and take you to completely different content t the same time!

Sorry ... just poking around at 5 am GMT ... woke early  ... slow to use the site in general ... massive circular 'working' symbol ... not internet connection speed ...

Back to URL modifiers ... is there one that reverts the 'wish lists' to a to being simply a list of wishes, similar to the old system. I have 15 well organised lists and browsing them is awful with the tiled layout. Each list is in a section of it own. I only keep wish lists  because I cannot afford most Logo resources unless they are in a sale ... now it is difficult to see that basic information without many clicks ... unless I am missing something obvious.... such as 'on wish list' as a facet item ... but I can only see ownership status ... and ownership is tucked in right at the last when it should be the first ... who browses resources that already own?

    Thanks.

    2017 15" MBP, iPad Pro

Back to the wish lists ... how do I move items between lists? I am looking to delete lists, remove resources, and merge them into a single list.

    Thanks.

    2017 15" MBP, iPad Pro

Finally found my pre-pub list... the move is logical but I am not sure why each row needs so much space when there is no image ... too much scrolling to get to the bottom and see a USD total only. Where is the estimate local currency figure?

    2017 15" MBP, iPad Pro

There are several bugs in how the new site displays the Lexham Press New Testament Studies Bundle (70 vols.) for me.

    1) It's showing me a dynamic price of $72.26, and yet total value if sold separately is less than that at $64.95.

    2) The list of volumes I'd get if I purchased it (i.e., when I have "Hide resources I own" checked) is empty.

If I turn off the "Hide resources I own" checkbox, I can see a bunch of resources I don't own yet listed. These should all have showed up when I had "Hide resources I own" checked.

    • High Definition Commentary: James $13.99
    • James Verse By Verse (Osborne New Testament Commentaries) $13.99
    • Jesus Wins: The Good News of the End Times $9.99
    • The Righteous and Merciful Judge: The Day of the Lord in the Life and Theology of Paul $14.99
    • The Star of Bethlehem: Science, History, and Meaning $11.99

(and indeed, their total comes to $64.95, confirming that was a correct total, but the dynamic price is suspect)

    3) You can't click and drag the mouse to select most of the entries in the list of resources, only ones that are expanded under an item that had a caret next to it. See video.

    -------------------------------------------------

There's also a bug in how the new site displays the Lexham Press Old Testament Studies Bundle (42 vols.) for me. It's showing me a dynamic price of $35.78, and yet total value if sold separately is $0. In fact, there are no resources in this bundle that I don't already own. If I turn off the "Hide resources I own" checkbox, I can confirm this. They all say Owned. So the dynamic price should be $0, and Add to Cart should be greyed out.

    1) It's showing me a dynamic price of $72.26, and yet total value if sold separately is less than that at $64.95.

This is explained at the bottom of your first screenshot: "Individual products included in this collection are currently sale priced. Purchasing the individual volumes in this collection may be more cost effective than purchasing the collection itself."

It affects both the old site and the new site.

Hi, I don't know how big is your Portuguese speaking customer base and how many of them are from Portugal or Brazil or from other Lusophone countries. But seeing that you have the different kinds of Spanish with different flags and not for Portugal might throw some off.

Don't get me wrong, continental and Brazilian Portuguese are quite similar and most don't mind brazilianisms, we are used to it specially in christian literature (most good publishers are Brazilian). So I don't think that you need to hire a Portuguese translator and proof-reader to get another language on the website, there's an easier solution to keep both customer bases happy that many other companies have adopted in the past which is to have both flags on the icon.

This is just a minor detail and my opinion of the company and it's products remains undamaged even if you don't change this, but I seriously want Logos to do well in Portugal (I always try to convince fellow students and pastors to give it a go!) and trust me when I say we Portuguese are very proud of our language.

I do not see any ship date info on PrePubs.  That is going to cut down my buying drastically.

a major update to our Logos.com website today

Thanks for the update. Teething issues experienced in the first few minutes of use:

    1. For pre-pubs, we used to know the (approximate) date it was being released. Can we still see that?
    2. The first pre-pub -- Classic Commentaries and Studies on the Pastoral Epistles Upgrade (10 vols.) -- is $19.99, but the "Total value if sold separately" is $0.10 (as shown below)
    3. Community Pricing can't be sorted by Progress (contrast Pre-Pub).
    4. Account | Order History is much less useful: I can't even see what I ordered last month.

Thank you Robert! I'm more concerned at the moment with my priority list.  The old Logos website wishlist I had was sorted by items in high priority and regular priority so I could filter the books to the top that I needed sooner than later.  It seems that function is now gone or MIA at the moment which is sad.  If they would have given us a heads up that the priority sort was going away I could have made notes as to what I had at the top.  Now I'm going to have to go through my list one at a time and move them to a new list.

    1) I cannot see if a pre-pub (or some regular resources) is included in a bundle. This is the most important weakness for me, because that's the first thing I look for when considering a purchase.

I ask myself, "Can I get this resource cheaper in a bundle? Will I end up double-ordering a resource if this resource is already in a bundle I pre-ordered?"

    2) I cannot view my "Orders" in an useful manner (The fonts are large and the order page is too spread out).

BTW. Problems with this forum again ... cannot log in ... the log-in page has expired ! Much clicking and refreshing ...eventually got it working ... Not sure that Logos.com is worth the effort these days ... it seems poorly designed, poorly implemented (like L8 ... still ignored issues with basic functionality such as the library whilst we see new minor features and obscurer tweaks ... published before its time ... and still not fixed).

The old site will eventually go away.

In the meantime, FL is listening to customers and making improvements to the new site. Specific feedback is helpful.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
