There is a problem with the pre-order resource pages.Previously, I could see if a resource is included in another bundle, so I do not have to double-order.
Now that detail is gone! Can you fix this?
Hello FL - Please don't ignore this.
I do not want to double-preorder a resource which is in a bundle I already pre-ordered.
So unless this is fixed, I can't do any pre-order.
I am sorry to hear that you have been having trouble with this, Vincent. We are busy improving our new web site.
As a temporary workaround, you may wish to use the previous version of our web site at https://classic.logos.com
Vincent,
Can you send me an example of a page you're looking at?
There should be a section at the very bottom of the page that shows if the resource is included in any other bundles.

Dear Celeste, thank you for assisting me in this.
As an example,
https://www.logos.com/product/177595/natural-law-a-brief-introduction-and-biblical-defense
This resource should be within the Davenant Institute Collection:

Other recent resources with this issue are (just a sample):

Yes, Rick is correct that it's at the bottom of the page. We are going to be moving it up on the page soon. Sorry for the confusion!
Yes, please. The higher, the better! (It's one of the first things I look for.)

It is the first thing I look for. When it was on the right (under the order box), you could glance over to the right side to check, then return to reading the information on the left. That was visually efficient, functional, and not disruptive to the page-reading experience.
In other words, once you know it's available in other collections, you don't need or want that information right in front of your eyes.
What we've done is trade off other information under the order box for a floating order box with nothing underneath it. One of the problems that introduces is that if the "This title is included in..." section is too high, that big box might disrupt reading of the other information on the left (and that might make the site experience less pleasant for some of us).
Assuming this section has to stay in the left column and will never be under the floating order box again, how high would you want it? What would be too high?
Would we want it above the Resources Included or not? Is that too high?
I'd want to move it up a bit, but not so high that I get tired of seeing it on the left, and have to scroll past it to see other details. Unfortunately, it's difficult to guess where that "sweet spot" is, until we try that change for a while, and see whether or not it "works."
I think that's part of the reason why I suggested adding a link to that section so we could a) immediately see at a glance whether there were savings opportunities, b) quickly navigate to that section, yet c) still keep the box in a peripheral location out of our main focus.
I am grateful that FL has been listening and does consider all the different factors, as they strive to satisfy many website objectives (including the impossible job of keeping customers happy). Thank you for all that the team continues to do, and no apology needed.
Dear Celeste,I do not understand why I couldn't see it. I do see the publisher, but not the bundle the resource is found in.
Please see attached images. This is what I can see.
Dear Celeste,
I just discovered that I can see the bundle if I sign out of my account!
Is there a bug in my account???
It is below the sample pages for me. Perhaps you have an adblocker, NoScript, Ghostery or some similar program blocking it from loading.... There is another section called "customers also bought" which you seem to be missing as well.
For example:
https://www.logos.com/product/176901/a-theology-of-james-peter-and-jude-living-in-the-light-of-the-coming-king
This is how it looks sign-in:
This is how it looks AFTER I SIGNED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT:
It cannot be. Otherwise how do you explain the different results before and after I signed out of my account?
We just made the change this afternoon, so I wonder if you got caught in an 'in between' state. It also takes a few moments for those sections to load (and takes longer when you're logged in because it's checking what you already own). Can you try again, being logged in, and give it a few extra moments to load? Let me know if that doesn't resolve it. Thanks for keeping us posted!
Indeed. I wrote that before your post showed up. But there is an issue with NoScript detecting a cross-site xss attack that I just posted in the main thread. It's not effecting my ability to see those two things though.
Dear Celeste
I gave it about 5 minutes. Nothing happened.
How long am I supposed to wait?
Dear Celeste, I just discovered that I can see the bundle if I sign out of my account! Is there a bug in my account???
No.
For some reason, FL chose to no longer include bundles which we own. So if you owned all the bundles that a pre-pub was also included in, that section would be blank (and probably wouldn’t appear).
If you think about that scenario, it’s probably not an issue. Even if you pre-ordered it separately, you’d already own a license for it, and you would not be charged again when the pre-pub shipped.

The bundle I pre-ordered is a pre-order; so technically I do not own it as yet.
FL breaks up a bundle sometimes, and I want to know if these pre-orders are in another pre-order bundle.
I’d report that as a bug and see what FL says.
I think it’s more useful to see all collections that a resource is included in, regardless of ownership, but I don’t know if that functionality will return.
As to FL breaking up a bundle, any new collections would show up, since you haven’t ordered (or bought) them yet.
Petah and Vincent,
Thank you both for your input on this thread, and I apologize for the confusion it's caused. We had intended it to be a helpful change to hide things that were already owned/ordered, but it makes sense that there are situations where that is not actually helpful - sorry that we made the wrong choice there.
We are working on fixing this now and wanted to ask your for your input. Which of these scenarios would be most helpful for you?
Thanks again for taking the time to provide your feedback; and thanks for your patience as we work out a few bumps.
I would like to see the same information as someone who isn't logged in — but with a clear indication if I already own (or have pre-ordered) the bigger collection. Greying out the purchase price would be sufficient as a mark of ownership. Ideally, collections I already own would be at the end of the list, too.
While I have your attention, can I repeat a common plea to move the ownership filter to the top of the list when searching, and make the setting sticky. It's by far the most useful filter of them all and scrolling down every time is a pain. And lots of people didn't even notice it was there!
Thanks for considering changing that behavior back.
Displaying both owned and pre-ordered collections would be most useful for me.
I think it’s fine to try new ideas. We don’t know if a change will be better or not until we spend time trying it out.
Thanks again.

Please allow this:
At the bare minimum, please display pre-ordered collections. I do not want to double pre-order a resource (one by itself, another within a bundle).
Thank you for listening to us.
Bump for Celeste.
Thanks for the feedback. We're working on exposing both pre-ordered and owned collections. We might not be able to put them in a specific order just yet, but we'll get them exposed again shortly.
Thank you Celeste. I agree with every word of Mark's post above.

Another problem I see is that you can’t filter Prepubs by “Ship date.” You can filter by “Progress” and some include ship date, but others don’t. It’d be extremely helpful if we could get sort by “ship date” back!
Thanks!

We included the "Ship date" logic in the "Progress" sort, so if there is a ship date known, it is shown and sorted by that. Does that make sense? Does that solve what you're trying to do?

Thanks Celeste, but “Ship date” narrowed it down to seeing only those resources that were about to ship first. With the new website you have to scroll down and some show the ship date others don’t. It’d be nice to keep them separate and save time when browsing what’s about to ship in order to make purchase decisions.
Blessings!

Yes! This one is much better 👍😁👌 What did you do?
Hello and greetings again
Is there a predicted time line for the pre-ordered and owned collections to appear on the pre-ordered resource page?
It is currently extremely frustrating to log in and log out my account every time I want to peruse a pre-ordered product, to check if it is included in another pre-order bundle.
The current new website is a downgrade from the previous one. I have no idea why Faithlife wants to make life miserable for customers
Just change www.logos.com to classic.logos.com for now, to avoid the inconvenience of logging in and out. The classic product pages still show all collections, including ordered and owned.
The current new website is a downgrade from the previous one.
I'm sorry that some functionality you depend on doesn't do what you want yet.
Thankful that FL has and is continuing to make improvements to the new website.
Overall, the new website does more things better, than worse, so it's likely more of an upgrade (both for FL and for us).
I have no idea why Faithlife wants to make life miserable for customers
Why would FL want to do that?
https://classic.logos.com/ no longer has many of the previous web pages. No pre-orders or resource page... Not that I can see.
Your pre-pub orders still show up at the old site:
https://classic.logos.com/account/orders/prepubs
Here's one of your examples of a pre-pub that's also part of a collection:
If you look at the same product on the classic site, you can see the collection that it's included in, regardless of order status or ownership:

Hope that helps, Vincent!
I noticed that pre-ordered and owned collections now appear in the "This title is included in..." section. Thanks, FL!
Is everything working out ok now, Vincent?

Yes. I am seeing new pre-pubs with the associated collections displayed. Older pre-pubs would still require the Classic website
Thank you so much PetahChristian for your labor of love and assistance. Much appreciated!!!
