Of course, our picks are determined by what is available and what we do not already have. There are several commentaries I would have picked, but they are already in my library.

Also, there are several of the less expensive books that I like (Ladd's Last Things, for example). I will gladly buy it for the 25% discount, but I would not pick it because I can save more money by picking the more expensive title. I can afford $10.50 for Ladd, but not $100 for others. It is foolish to pick the less expensive book, no matter how good it is.

I don't know about projections, but these are my hoped for results.

I'll have to chime in on all the backets later, but my hope for overall winner is definitely A Critical and Exegetical Commentary on the Pastoral Epistles by I. Howard Marshall. It's the most expensive book on there, so if your strategy is to get something valuable for cheap, vote IHM. If my math is correct (always a big if) we would be able to pick up a $130 commentary for $32.50.

I would like to see the run-off between Spurgeon's Treasury of David and Howard Marshall's ICC on the Pastorals, with Marshall coming out on top. These are two seriously good buys and with 75% off Marshall's ICC, it would make it a real bargain. Among the others the Septuagint and Qumran studies would fit my library nicely.

Either of the Moo titles - probably prefer the James commentary
Marshall on Pastorals - and Mohler title He is not Silent is one I'd look to buy as is Wenham's title
None really - maybe 1-3 John but Macarthur's PM IMHO adversely impacts much of his exposition

lol, I interpreted childhood story to be Holy Grail, the movie! I never knew it was a child's book. I was just cracking up thinking how some poor kid was indoctinated with Monty Python. They must have lifted it from the book. the scene you recall is what they did in the movie, with some comedic twists.
