Indexing and Internet question

Hopefully a simple question.

I dug my laptop out of storage after 3 months and needed to rebuild the index. After running all night, it’s about 60% done. My question is whether I can turn off my WiFi internet while it indexes or whether that will disrupt it and need to start over.

Indexing takes place on your hard drive, not over the Internet. Feel free to go offline while indexing is in progress.
