BUG - Reading not synced correctly
When reading on Android the latest position read syncs with my laptop but not with the iPad.
If I read on my iPad it syncs to Android OK, so it is only not working one way. I am using the latest Beta version on all devices.
Can you please investigate.
Just to be clear I do close the book from the tabs and sync data before closing the app on Android and synch data immediately after opening the iPad and before opening the book.

Hi Anthony,
Please send logs from your Android device:
Please do the following:
- Open the app.
- Tap the Menu icon.
- Tap Help.
- Press "Report a Problem"
A pre-addressed email will open with a log file attached automatically. Please mention examples of specific book titles that are not syncing correctly to your iPad. When finished, press "Send" to send your report. A technician will reply as soon as possible.

Hello again, Anthony,
Please also try the following.
- Check to make sure that there are no open tabs in the App. Touch on the icon at bottom of screen that looks like a page with a number on it (it is to the right of the Library icon). You may see one or several rectangles- these are the tabs. As you go through these tabs, tap on the "x" in the upper left of each one, until there is only one left (you will not be allowed to have zero tabs).
- Open a resource from library, and navigate several pages or more away from your starting point. Close the resource. Open one more resource and do the same.
- Sync the app on your Android device.
- Open the app on your iPad. Try opening both resources.
- If they do not open to the correct location, check the tabs icon. Does either or both resources have more than one open tab?

I closed all tabs except for ESV Bible on both Android phone and iPad and also completely closed down the apps.
I then opened the phone app and read another section of a book I had been reading. I then closed the tab, opened the Bible and then synced from the menu and then closed down the app. I then opened the App on my iPad, synced it and then opened the book. The book opened to exactly where it had been last time I was reading it on the iPad. I then went to my laptop (running Windows 10) and that hadn’t updated either.
it looks as though none of my devices are syncing correctly. Have you broken something with one of your latest updates? It was definitely working OK just over a week ago. I know because I was having problems caused by not realising that I had to close the tab to get it to sync.

Hi again Joe,
I’ve spent an hour or so testing the syncing of books and found that they are syncing correctly, I believe.
What has been completely throwing me is that when you open the book on Android, the heading in the pane across the top of the screen is not tracking with the book itself when first opened. The heading shows the last chapter read on this device but, in fact, the text beneath is at the correctly synced place in the book. For instance I’ve just opened Name Above All Names, the heading shows the title for chapter 4 but If you tap on the screen to close it you find that you are actually on chapter 5. Perhaps I should have looked further - but you must admit that it is very misleading.
I hope you haven’t been caused too much work, I also hope that this bug can be squashed!
Tony.

Hi Yet again Joe,
just a suggestion. Perhaps the Android app should be amended to reflect the iPad one. The iPad app just shows the title in the top pane with an “empty” picker box for moving between sections.

And yet again Hi Joe,
Forget that last suggestion. I forgot that a problem with the iPad app is that there is no way of telling where you are in a book.
Tony.
