To immediately update to the current beta enter the Update Now command. Otherwise, the app will automatically update the next time it's scheduled to check for updates.

Is a release candidate still considered a beta version or does it go out to users on the stable channel? It seems like I remember in an earlier version, everyone got the release candidates.
My confusion is that the About Logos message box just shows version 8.7. It does not say anything about it being RC2 (other than that I am on the Beta Channel).
A release candidate is still beta but is the code that is expected to move to gold i.e. 8.7. There is no indication that it is beta because it is the code expected to go gold with no further changes. If it still said beta/RC then a change would be required before release violating the purpose of a release candidate.
