using notes in mobile app

I wonder if there is a way to set the notes to default to whatever book of the bible I am in so that I don't have to set the notebook and add an anchor every time. I used to be able to click on the note and it was already set. It is frustrating to me to have to do that every time and then to delete the anchor that is already set.

Thanks

Jeff

    Hi Jeff

    I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are describing here.

    You are right that adding a note in the mobile app doesn't put it in a notebook and if we want to add it to a notebook we need to do so manually.

    But even before Logos 8 shipped, all we could do was to specify Notes Documents at a resource-level and not at a biblical-book level.

    Can you please clarify what functionality you believe you have lost?

    And are you aware that adding a note to a biblical passage automatically tags it with the associated biblical book? This might remove the need for this type of notebook - depending on what you need.

    Or if you are referring to some other issue, please advise.

    Graham

    Graham,

    It used to be whenever I wanted to make a note in my mobile app I would highlight a word in the verse select note  and it would automatically link to that verse across my bibles. I didn't have to put it in a notebook or tag it to a verse, both of which I have to do now. then I deselect the anchor to the book bible I am in. It was automatically connected to that Bible book.

    I understand now.

    Yes, when the app was updated the only option from within it when creating a note was to do it "by selection" which is why it isn't visible across all Bibles. That has been flagged and I really hope it gets fixed.

    I still don't understand why you need to put it in a notebook but I understand the steps you end up having to take to get the anchors as you want them. I've been there many times and do find it frustrating!
