Highlighting across Bibles in Mobile App
In the desktop Logos 8 i can highlight a passage in a Bible and have that highlight show up in all my Bibles by selecting "show in all appropriate resources" from the Corresponding Notes and Highlights section in the Visual Filter of any of my Bibles.
I have been unable to stumble across any equivalent way to have my highlights show up across Bibles in the Mobile App. My Visual Filter settings on the desktop do not seem to have any impact on the mobile app and i haven't found any other way to accomplish this. I do have Notes turned on as well as Highlight in the mobile app for the Bibles in which i want to see the highlights, but it does not seem to make any difference. I can only see a highlight in a particular Bible if i actually highlight in that particular Bible itself.
I'd appreciAte any help.

I am sorry, John, but this feature (corresponding highlights) is not yet available in Mobile.

I’m hoping this will become possible in the mobile app, too. Can you give us some hope thar it will become available in the near future?

Unfortunately, I don't have good news. FL doesn't often announce future projects. I would not hold your breath for the "near" future. It is not in the current beta. Furthermore, the feature would depend upon a persistent internet connection to work unless the app were to be completely redesigned "under the hood."

Intrigued by this - why do you think this is the case?

You are right, but the mobile app is very different. On mobile, "lookups" require an internet connection. There is no "index" on mobile. All of the info is "in the cloud." For this feature to work on mobile, it would either 1) have to utilize the Logos servers OR 2) have that information stored in the app itself. Otherwise the app would have no idea which words to highlight in the other translation.

Interesting. If this is the case, why do notes on verses come across to the mobile app (all Bible versions) but the highlights and solid colors applied to verses do not?

Because notes on verses are linked to the reference - and so appear in all “versified resources” while highlights and colours are linked to a particular resource.
