Again, most won't be interested. You run into the problem, Logos-wise, in the Old Testament, with the stars, gods, etc. Even arriving at Jesus' birth.
This book (first published 1983), is not the usual archaeology book .... more a stroll by subject across civilizations. So, for example the early greeks (Plato) didn't associate gods with stars, the idea from foreigners. And the Egypt star system didn't match the later greek, but the Babylonian did (Marduk). He skipped over Biblos, which seems to also echo Babylon. Hmmm .... Genesis.
Another example was the arrival of technology (chariots), and the imagery of gods and their chariots (Exekiel, India, etc).
Kindle-wise, decently cheap, but sits between technical astronomy, and technical archaeology. If you're one or the other, you'll have to settle down.
