Copy and paste text without format in notes

Hi! I have a question: I used to be capable in Logos 7 with my Mac to copy a verse of the Bible or a fragment of a commentary, and paste it in my notes without format, so it could match the format of the note. I used the key combination Shift + Ctrl + Cmd + V.

Since I have been using Logos 8, this key combination doesn't work anymore (it appears a little diamond symbol every time I try to use it), and I have not been able to find a key combination or an option to paste text without format in the notes. It's pretty annoying to have to change every time the size of the font  (my notes are usually in 11pt, and many resources are in 12pt), and to remove bold characters and other things, until I get it with the right format.

Does anyone know how to paste without format? Thank you very much in advance!

Welcome to the forums Christian I hope we can help.

Sorry no. However I do use Cmd V to paste with the style that is copied to the clipboard and Cmd Opt V to paste with the style that is currently set in the receiving document.

I find no mention of the short-cut that you describe here but then again I regularly miss stuff.

    Hi Christian,

The way I paste without formatting is by using a third-party Clipboard manager app. The one I use is called Copy'em Paste. Another you could use is Pastebot. There are many others. In addition to features like storing the last several dozen (or hundred) items that you copied, these apps allow you to "paste as plain text" which is the equivalent of pasting without formatting.

Good call Levi - I forgot about that and I have 'CopyLess' daily use. It is just that I rarely use the 'Plain Text' feature which you can see on the top right of the screenshot.

And now I see that CopyLess2 is available free in the Mac Store.

Thank you very much, Levi! It has been really useful, I actually never thought on the possibility of using a Clipboard manager app, I think that it's going to be the best solution. Thank you very much!!!

Thank you very much, Mike! I have been looking a little Copy Less in the App Store, it looks a really useful App, i'm going to try it.

By the way, in many apps you can use the combination Shift + Ctrl + Cmd + V for pasting without format (it can also be Shift + Cmd + V), I have been using it for years for example in Adobe products, and also other platforms as Gmail, Notes, ... =)

    Thank you again!!
