Get list of characters from a Bible book

Hello,
I am struggling to find a way to generate a list of all the characters (personages) mentioned in Luke's Gospel. Can someone please help me?
I'm using Logos 5 and I have all the databases.

Create a custom Passage Guide with a Biblical People section in it, and run it on the entire gospel of Luke.
It's likely to be quite slow, because there's a lot of data to crunch. But I think this is the only way to do what you want to accomplish.
Here's what your guide template should look like (name it whatever you want):
Here's what it will look like when you run it on all of Luke (once you create the template, open it up from the Guides menu, then enter Luke in the reference box):
You can expand any of those sections with the ... after it by clicking on the ... (see red circle above; result will be as below):
EDIT: You can also expand the bottom section with the list of all the people by scrolling down and clicking "Show All" at the end of it, and it will show the list of names with every verse that that person is mentioned in Luke. However this process crashed Logos for me partway through (out-of-memory exception). Unfortunately this list of people is not sorted alphabetically, which might make it more useful. If Logos makes it through the process for you, you can always export the Passage Guide to a Word document and manipulate the sort order there.

Ran into this post looking for the frequency of people in a book. Thanks for the tip. I know it's older, but was looking for clarification. Is there a way to only show the top 10 results of biblical people instead of everything?

Thanks Graham. That's pretty cool. Is the concordance tool only available as an upgrade? I have the Logos 8 Basic features and the Base Package Library with a Pre-Logos 7 Library. When I click Concordance tool and search Genesis, it doesn't return any results.

Hi Tom
Yes, sorry I didn’t mention it, but the Concordance Tool requires either a Bronze Feature Set (or higher) or a Faithlife Connect subscription. Details of this - and other tools / features - are at https://www.logos.com/compare/featuresets
