Clipping or note?
Hello.
I have a question about how best to link to a commentary resource in my library. What I want is whenever I come to a passage in a Bible, I see an icon that references and displays a clipping from one of my commentaries. I'm not sure if I can use a clipping to accomplish all of this or if I need to create an actual note and just paste the commentary text into it. Do clippings offer this functionality like notes in Bibles, or do they function more like a passage list for text clippings? Just trying to decide the best strategy moving forward.

You need to do the latter - create a note and put the contents of the commentary text in it.
There is no indication in the text that a clipping has been taken.

Ok, thanks for letting me know how best to do this. I tested with a note and it seems to work well enough as it did make a link in the note to the correct place in the commentary I was wanting it to reference.
